Acquisition of BIORIUS cosmetics certifications (GMO-free, Vegan, Natural) for TAMAVISCO®
DSP GOKYO FOOD & CHEMICAL Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has obtained three cosmetics certifications from BIORIUS, a Belgium-based cosmetics regulatory consulting company, for our original rheology modifier, TAMAVISCO® (INCI: Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum).

TAMAVISCO® is a new “advanced” plant-based polymer derived from seeds of Tamarindus Indica L. It functions as a thickener and a unique gelling agent to bring fresh ideas of textures. The product was launched in July 2021 to meet the growing demands of clean and safe ingredients in cosmetics and personal care markets.
We expect the acquisition of BIORIUS certifications to work as the objective evidence to prove that TAMAVISCO® meets standard requirements for a plant-based ingredient, and that TAMAVISCO® contributes to the developments of cosmetics fitting in the recent trend of Clean Beauty.
