In our food ingredients business, we have a wide variety of products, including polysaccharides, seasonings, and other food ingredients, that add flavors, textures, and functions. And in our chemical materials business, we have pharmaceutical excipients, personal care products, coatings, industrial materials, and electronic materials. In addition to supplying products, we utilize our know-how and network to propose what is really needed to solve the problems of customers. In particular, we offer proposal-based promotion using the know-how we have accumulated over many years as a leader in the field of polysaccharides used in both the food and chemical fields.
GLYLOID® (tamarind seed gum), a polysaccharide, was successfully industrialized for the first time in the world by MP Gokyo Food & Chemical in 1964, and now is available in the overseas markets. We have actively obtained various certifications and related permissions and licenses for GLYLOID®, such as Kosher and CODEX Alimentarius, and develop products, formulations and new functions that match the trends in different countries.

MP Gokyo Food & Chemical strives to ensure the quality and reliability of the wide range of products it handles by making use of quality control capabilities developed over many years as a manufacturer. We focus on safety and strictly control the quality of our products to ensure that customers can use them with peace of mind. To this end, we manage products for the pharmaceutical industry under a control system that conforms to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for pharmaceuticals based on the relevant ministerial ordinances, as well as other products under our voluntary management system.
We contribute to the global environment and society through our business activities.
Polysaccharides, one of our flagship products, are used to thicken and gelate food to help the elderly and others with dysphagia to swallow food, thus contributing to enriching the dietary lives of elderly people. Moreover, the extract seasonings developed and sold by MP Gokyo Food & Chemical are made by effectively utilizing bones obtained from meat processing and production and other livestock resources to contribute to the creation of a recycling-oriented society. In addition to contributions through business activities, MP Gokyo Food & Chemical is also a council member of the Japan Association for the World Food Programme (WFP) an authorized NPO supporting the UN WFP and an associate member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and supports the activities of those organizations to contribute to the global environment and society.
